what should be my next suspension mod?

4.10s go in monday!.. my new sway bars and bumpsteer I'll put in after that.. so I'm trying to see what should be done next, I really want to improve my daily driving, even though I may get to AX once in a while but I'm not building a race car.

I figured MM controal arms would be a no brainer? next?

is it lowered? you should get some LCA, and some Subframe connectors. Full lenght weld ins are the best, then some caster camber plates.

Did you already buy the swaybars? If not, hold off until you're done doing whatever else you're going to do. Swaybars should be the LAST thing you do, as they're there to compensate for the deficiencies of your suspension setup.

That being said, what do you mean by "improve your daily driving"? Are you looking for improved cornering or better ride quality? I'm guessing the former based on the rest of your post.

First thing I'd do is make sure the parts that you do have are top quality and in good condtion, in particular your tires, shocks, and brakes. These three will make more difference than any suspension modification.

If you have those covered and are looking to spend money, my suggestion would be full-length subframe connectors. That'll get you a good platform to build from.

If you are going to do AX, I can't stress the following enough: LEAVE THE CAR STOCK. At least until you've done a couple events and get a feel for what's actually deficient in your suspension.

Hope that helps!

and don't forget a good set of tires, all the suspension mods are useless if you can't grip the road with some tires

Thanks.. Ok

Already got Swaybars, pick them up today.. I figured FLSFC were a good bet.. As far as
"improving my daily drive & handling" .. just that, I don't drag race but I like to be able to hook up on the road, and I want better handling overall..

Rev: Thanks, I understand the 'keep it stock for AX'.. but I'm way past that point, when I bought the car is was already modded for E-Prep class. and I'm really gonna do AX for fun, I like driving my car on twisites.. Don't really car about how well I do..

So any mod that will increase my 'fun', make me more comfortable keeping speed...

Right now:
Eibach Sways
Eibach Shocks/Struts Pro Damper Kit
Steeda Springs
Steeda BumpSteer
Steeda CC Plates
*I think that's all, alot was on the car when I bought it*

New Wheels and tires will be coming soon, right now I've got Goodyear Eagles on the Front and Cooper 2XS on the rear on 17x8s.. (came with the car).. likely I'll be getting 17x9/17x10 w/ NT555s

I hadn't thought about brakes.. but yeah $$$.. I was thinking LCA or FLSFC.. I don't want to turn the car into a 'race car' really, so a $300-$400 here and there is ok..

Funny!

no biggie, I wasn't trying to do anything wrong.. $hit happens...

Lefty, who welded yours in? CJP shows $260 to install them.. I'm sure I can get that price down a bit considering the constant flow of cash I already give them.. but if you know a local guy?

I really want to do everything myself, but when it comes to welding.. sorry no dice... same with gears.. I just had them put in.. I'll take the motor apart and the suspension, but I can't weld, and anything that require me to spend more money on special tools I'll likely never use again.. it's not worth it..

They are also bolt in. So bolt em in, and take them to an exhaust shop or something. Ask em if they can weld it for ya. Since its already installed it shouldn't be too much. 240 bucks for a install is a lot i would think.

If it is 260 for buying and installing, i would just go for it. But 260 for only install is a bit steep!

I paid more than that to have 'em installed in my fox :/

This was also on a convertible, though, so part of what I got charged was the time to work around the janky factory sfcs.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha are you guys high? i paid $80 to have mine welded in and the guy let me watch him/help sort of. it took like 30-45 mins tops.

edit: and it was $80 only because i tipped him like $40 for being so awesome. he only wanted like $40

I have a Vert... it's 260 listed on the web site for install + cost of the SFCs(159 for powercoated MM), I'm sure I could get it a bit lower...

.. I wouldn't do a bolt on set.. I wouldn't pay $260, there are too many people in the area that could do it for less I'm sure..

They have to remove old ones. 260 for FLsubs and and putting em in is an ok price. They cost 120 for non painted, and 150 for powder coated online. Not counting shipping. So hes basically doing it for 100 bucks. Not a bad price.
