03/04 Cobra Hood on my GT

What do you guy's think about this hood on my 03 GT? I'm gonna go pick it up this weekend. I offered the seller $200 for it and she agreed. I think it would look good and I can get it painted for a decent price. Anyone else running this hood and have pics? Thanks!

I like it. I was either going with that or the 2000 cobra r. And went with the 2000. As long as there are no cobra badging its ok in my book.

same. i'm gonna try and go for the hood weems got. i think its call VHS CB 4' cowl hood...

If it did say cobra somewhere wouldn't that add like 10-15 more rwhp?

I was also wanting a cowl hood but I ran accross this ad last night and figured if I could get the seller talked down to $200 I would be just as happy with this one. I can get it painted for $150 and if I can sell my stock one for $80 then I would only have $250 invested in this one.

Well my stock hood would work perfect on your car since it's the same color but so far your in line behind Zatrekaz and Sonic03AZ if they both back out then I will let you know.

4 inch is very tall. Mine is 2.5 and its tall enough, imho.

I like the cobra hoods on gt's they look good. How does it fit though? I've heard that a cobra bumper doesn't fit the gt hood right, or the gt bumper doesn't fit the cobra hood right... can't remember which way it goes

Both...sorta. But the major one is cobra hood with GT bumper; there will be a ugly gap. Cobra bumper with GT hood works but requires moding either the pillars or playing with the adjustment in the hood latch.

yeah i got a cobra bumper on my gt hood, doesnt fit perfect but theres no gap, it just rolls over the bumper a bit, had to adjust the hood and it was good.
if i got a cowl hood id have to get it for the cobra though wouldnt i? most companies just make a generic 99-04 one, so what would you do

Thanks for the headsup everyone. I didn't think about the fitment issues. I just assumed it would work. You guy's just saved me some money.

She agreed to sell it to me for $200 so i'm sure you can get it for that price also. If she mentions anything about me getting it just let me know and i'll resend an email to her saying i'm not gonna get it.

Hahah I get the same bit from various people occasionally. Sometimes I feel like I should've just waited a year and gotten a termi instead but payments on the GT were bad enough. I personally have more fun searching for what I want and going through the process to mod my GT as opposed to just buying it and being done; not that there's anything wrong with Termi's I really like'em.
