theft light flashes, car will not turn over

hello everyone, i am new here...got a little problem...

2002 gt rag, 5 speed, novi 2000.....

the car has power, doesnt turn over and the theft light flashes fast.....i tried taking out my sct chip, it didnt work, tried both keys didnt work, i had pats disabled through my sct chip, odometer not showing any digits just a bunch of dashes, any help would be appreciated ...

You have to have the keys. Please quit trying to steal someone else's car.

well i had that problem and it was because my security chip fell out of my key. Your key may be shot... even with the chip the key can go bad... Or you got the wrong car.. haha. But ya I had to get a key made from the dealership. Pain in my ass.

what are the chances of two keys going bad?

pretty slim. you most likely hav a problem in your ecu.

It's not un heard of...but it does seem a bit ironic. Check the cut off switch in the back of the trunk.

When you turn your key to the first click do you hear this whine or high pitch sound coming from the trunk?

wouln't effect car turning over or odometer. his PATS system is corrupt somehow.

I'm having the same kind of problem. If I turn the key just to on, all my electronics fire up (lights come on, radio plays) but as soon as I turn it to start, all the power is cut. If I go out and move the battery cables, all the stuff turns back on, but when I turn the key to start, it cuts power again. WTF?

I would re-load the sct software and turn the pats on... see what happens.

no noises, the fuel pump definitely doesn't come on...

it's something in his ignition. my ignition lock went bad in my last car, and every time I opened the doors or put the key in the ignition it would set the alarm off.

I still feel like its your pats. You might need to get your keys reprogramed by ford.

Yeah it's definitely PATS related or the theft light wouldn't be blinking.
