2x tape is pretty reasonable if you do it right and they dont have cheap tape on them

A friend of mine has the window louvers on this New Edge Mustang from AM.
They feel like a thin grainy plastic. Yea there were held on with some kind of tape, i was able to put my finger under the louver & pull it up. Its doesnt seem that secure to me

main thing is to clean the area REALLY clean prior to putting the tap down. I mean really clean. And you will not ever have a problem with it!

I have louvers...
They are held on by a double sided tape. The tape is attached to small metal brackets. The louvers are screwed down onto the brackets. The top ones have hinges. Which allow for easy cleaning. Dont forget to use silicon around the brackets edges to seal the tape in. So if it rains it dosnt unpeal your lovers. I had the same fears about carwashs. I avoided them like the plague for a while. One day i tried it. The louvers did fine in a high pressure car wash. The issue was when it comes to the dryer. Dont use there dryer. It will rip the louvers off your car. Just take my word. Drive right threw them as fast as possible. Any other questions just ask. Iv been living with them for over a year

just use the manual car wash, and some what avoid direct pressure on that area. i dont have them but thats what i would do. i typically go to the car wash and use their power washer, then use my shammy to dry the car to its spot free clean.

i go to the powerwash place and take a rag and just use all there soap and shit and handwash the car. Let all the soap come out the brush and on the car and then handwash it. then use the hot water power washer to get it right and then shammy it. Ahhhh.... clean!

What i did was this: layed the louver, with the mounting hardware attached, where i wanted them then marked it with a black sharpie. then i CLEANED THE AREA VERY WELL with soap and a rag, let that dry, then with alcohol. removed the brackets from the louver and stuck them where i marked them. hopefully youll have a more steady hand that i do bc it was triky to line the wholes on the louver with the brackets that were by this time stuck to my window. but since its plasctic you have a little bit of wiggle room. i personnally kno that the tape holds up to 100mph ha. the kit also comes with instructions, just take your time and dont hurry thru it. b sure to let the tape sit before attatching the louver.oh and carwashes = bad

They Arent going anywhere bro
![]() and u mention it was really cold where u r, the instructions do say to heat the temp of the glass to like 50 degrees or something but I did mine in my garage while it was 40ish outside. But u could always try using a hair dryer or turning ur rear window defroster on would prob heat it up long enough for the adhesive to stick good
