Project update.

Ran into some small problems with the build, things are smoothing out now tho. I gotta adjust the the steering and make the wheels straighter. i didnt realize how much removing the say bar and the rubber off the springs would lower the front end of my car. here are a couple updated pictures.

Heres a comparison of how low the front is compared to a rubber mallet. the top of the bumper support barely comes up to my knee.

And heres how bad my tires are "toed" inward. this is with my steering wheel straight forward.

google it, lots of options..steeda,upr,etc

A little more expensive way is to use a bump steer kit($150 vs $25)

Awsome, thanks man! that seems like a pretty easy way to fix the problem, and no, nothing came with my kit? all that came in the kit was spring perch and k-member.

these parts are to correct issues from lowering a car, they don't include these because they have no control over the end user and what is planned for their parts

man, you can't be serious about the blue painted stuff under the hood.. i mean, painting the stuff is one thing... but you didn't even spray it evenly or anything. are you going to fix it? the pulleys, the alt bracket, and the p/s reservoir bracket look like absolute shit. it would look good if it was done right but camon man, you can't expect to post that picture and not have anyone say something. i'm sure its just the first coat.. right?? i'm not trying to be an asshole, but i seriously think if you are painting that stuff you might as well take the extra 10 minutes and do it right.

all that stuff was painted a long ass time ago. thats the wear on it. yes, its all getting repainted. the only part that got painted this time so far was the timing cover. also most of those parts your pointing out are actually parts with dust on them.

but yes all those parts are getting cleaned up when i paint the car.

True, my belt with the kb is a pain in the ass to take off. Your matching your accessories to your exterior color? Is it that blue or a dark blue? Cause if it isn't same color why not do it now.

the parts are ford blue, the car is true blue. two different colors. the reason i didnt paint them now is because its 20 degrees out. 35 or 40 on a warm day here. recomended temp to spray is 60ish. i dont have the luxury of a heated paint booth yet. im setting it up when i paint the car.

Makes sense i just went with that hassle painting in 30-40 degrees. Didn't turn out well at first... but then i learned you can heat the bottle! Have a space heater that the can sits on perfectly, its a radiator style for indoors (not propane outdoor one). Worked pretty good. Your saying its just a little dirty tho?

Not trying to bust your balls btw. Motor looks beautiful. (just not the pulleys lol)
