sound difference with shorties

I have an 03GT all stock except for CAI and Flowmaster 40's. I plan on doing shorty headers and a bbk off road x-pipe. (so I can easily go back to stock for emissions). Will it be a huge difference in sound and will it stay deep and not high pitch and poppy? Maybe I should stay with the stock header manifold and spend the money on pulleys and a tuner?

I nned professional advice
Thanks in advance

it'll give it a deeper tone with the headers, the x pipe will pop till it is broke in.

Also, I am planning to get a SC in the nexth few months, so I want to make sure that its right. I think that shorty header anf th o/r x pipe with the flows should be fine, what do you guys think

That is actually a big debate going on in this site on another thread. With a good tune that isn't necssarily true.
