Thats what I do, I ran 12.8s flat

doubt it can be done, this coming from the guy that tried to do everything for the first time. but really what is the point, why not just put gears in it and lightin it up. i mean its like wow if you run a 12.99 with stock gears, i will just show up with the same amount of power, with 4.56's and same weight and run 12.50's. I don't consider running anything with stock gearing bragging rights. Who wants to drive around on stock gearing anyways.

Its time to move on, It seems you have reached a stopping point with the current setup, Hell even go back with the shorter triple 5s out back if itmakes you happy and see if you get anything better but i doubt yo will see 12s.

Either bite the bullet and go with 4.10s and Dip into the 12s or Start removing weight there really your only two Easy options, And stop worrying about what other people say the car can or can not do and just have fun with the car

To prove local gm guys and ford haters wrong. My goal was to just hit a 12.99 with stock gears, full weight and right after take the seats,Jack, spare and anything else out to see what the diffrence is. Then throw gears in it and see how far in the 12's n/a and 11's on spray I could get before a set of cams. Basicly to prove a couple of loud mouths wrong.

102 MPH is plenty to run 12.90's. He'll probably get a counple tenths from headers and then another couple from a much more capable tire.

IMO its VERY possible.

I know some guy on Allfordmustangs. Has an 01 Bullitt, 259rwhp. His best run stock gears was 13.26 @ 102.7. So, I think its very possible with suspension, tires, Longtubes, mid pipe, TB/Plenum, intake and a 1.7 60 foot.

I don't understand why you would want to try to run 12s on the stock 3.27 gear. Just go with some 4.10s and be done.

Well if it'd stop flipping raining here I'd have a chance to try but all it's freakin done here is snow and rain. And I think it can be done but it's deffinitly gonna be hard. And I've already posted that it will get gears somtime this year just not yet.

I'm not going to say its impossible. But it is VERY unlikely to happen at full weight with 3.27s.

The 4.6 cars are undergeared from the factory. They need a steep gear to get them out of the hole hard and to get them into thier power range quickly.

Been thinking on this one for a while. Way back in 2002 I ran a 13.45@102 at Beech Bend Ky. on a very nice 50* day. Also ran a 13.55 and a 13.59 same day. The ONLY mods at the time were, K&N drop in filter w/no silencer, MAC O/R X with welded in Flowmaster 40's and a UPR shifter. Stock tune, spare in the trunk, full interior etc.
So I see it is possible with a few bolt-ons, some suspension work and sticky tires.
