so i need a new car battery...

Hey guys, I need a new car battery for my daily driver... no problem. So I tell my friends about it & they put up this big hype about that I should get a "Optima" battery. Why?? Is it worth getting??

well if you need a battery that you need to mount in an awkward position then you could but its not really worth spending 200+ on a battery when a regular battery will do just fine

Optima batteries are great for high powered audio systems. While they're a great product, I'd say just get the Kirkland Signature battery from Costco or the AutoCraft Titanium from Advance Auto. Both have an unbeatable warranty for how much they cost.

Yea thats what i was thinking! If i had my battery mounted in the trunk & a big azz stereo system then yea i would get one. Im all stockers on my electronices... no HIDs, no flashing lights,or no LEDs.

Jus thought i'd run this question by my MM buds

Since when is an optima $200 ? lol

I agree though, unless you are pulling major amps, a regular battery is fine.

It is perceived I guess. They don't cost all that much more, and they are a very good battery.
