Cobras can get away with a lower gear because their redline is higher. I don't think it would be wise to intentionally push my motor to 6500-7000 rpm. (I have unintentionally gone to 6500 a couple of times. Nothing happened though.)

I wont do 4.10's because there not as enjoyable imo. Espeically for a supercharger. I wanna fell that thing pull. 4.10's rip through and it wont be that fun. Plus at 6000rpm, on the stock size tire, the top of 4th is 111mph. For track purposes, and highway purposes....that sucks.

The differance between 3.55 and 3.73s at the top of 4th is like 7mph. That, I dont care about. Although 6000 in 4th with 3.55s is like 130mph which would be nice.

I can't imagine having 4:10's, with 3:73's there are times I fight for traction in 3rd which can be pretty scary breaking loose at 40-45 and car going sideways. Centri guys seem to enjoy 4:10's more but with stock tire size,dd with hiway 3:73's would be my choice.

Thats what I mean...shit I have hard time getting traction grabbing 2nd with 4.10's. Nevermind with boost. Ill probally go 3.73's so I can enjoy the pulls in every gear, and got be in boost on the highway. Cause I always drive at like 80-90mph when traffic is low.

Why not just put a throttle stop on the car. Much easier than making the car hook. Your car will be quicker with 4.10's but you have your mind made up

Gears depend on what transmission, power, and if you plan on racing the 1/8 or the 1/4.

When I was only reving to 6400 and making a little over 500 I would ocasionally hit the rev limiter with 3.73's going through the traps in the high 120's, 4:10s would've been to steep. Now that I rev to 7k It might be ok.

Yea true..Im running 1/4 all the time. I definatley dont want 4.10's. I will for a week or 2, untill I have the money to get the 3.73's or 3.55's installed. But to be honest, Im leaning towards 3.73's. Itll give me like 122mph at 6k in 4th on stock size tires. And by the time Im hitting 122mph trap, Ill have a built motor that revs to 7k.

on the turbo and blower cars we always run 3.55 gears, let car run longer through 3rd gear and take advantage of it.

works good enough for 5.7x's-6.4x's eight mile cars
