Dual fuel pumps, with GT hat?

Tricktuners was telling me that i can put 2 GT pumps in the stock fuel hat. Cobra fuel hat would just be easier. I would probably take the basket out since 2 gt pumps would probably suck the thing dry even with holes in it. Any pictures that could help me with this? Any other shit i will need to get it done? Like Gate's fuel hosing? Maybe a y fitting? So both pumps will lead into the fuel line?

What sizes will i need? Will i just put a clamp around the second pump to mount it on there? Since the stock GT hat wouldn't have a spot for it, like the cobra does. And how would it wire, splice it to the first pumps harness? Above the hat im guessing so no risk of fuel damaging or shorting the splice?

I searched this and found nothing about dual pumps with the gt hat.

I never do. I don't floor it under 1/4 tank. Cobra tank setup is 800+. Hat is like 2-300 if you find a steal deal. Other than the mount for cobra hat there isn't too much different. I'm just curious if there is a way... just need a little more fuel.

Ya they are sumped. Just don't want to get a tank yet. If I can just throw an extra pump in. Already can't wot under 1/4 anyways so no difference there, used to it. Already have modified fpdm. So it would be cool to drop pump in and roll. Then later get a sumped tank and throw pumps in there and call it good.

I understand.

Idk, would you need a new fuel hat? With a new basket? So cut into the gas tank, and mount a new hat and basket? Idk, Im tryna figure that out, how that would work.

A ton of people run dual pumps with a cobra hat. Of course a baffled tank would be better, but if I can do this now... for free or close to it why not!

Ill pm sweet2k, thanks wraith

I've had a cobra hat on my gt tank since 05. You can put twin GT pumps in stock basket and mod basket to keep plenty of fuel at the pumps.

300 bucks for cobra tank and hat? Where the hell you get that lol? And GTermi I hope it works out too haha!

Y2k how do you think it will work out? Any tips on how it will mount? Or items I need? Like size of hose and fitting to have dual pumps? I want to have everything possible before I drop the tank.

Ya... maybe. I'm keeping eye out for a used one. If I get a new hat tho its not really worth it. 100 bucks more and could get lethals fuel tank setup.
