Well, still a lot of things to do first. I am going to Paint the valve and timming covers, still need the phaser locks, head gaskets, and some odds and ends. The only thing that is taking a long time is money, lol. I could have had it in the car a long time ago but I am building it with all the good stuff so when the blower goes on (next year probably) it will be good to go. The 3V swap is inexpensive if you just want to do a straight swap but to build it up is just like any other build and will nickle and dime you to death. Just when you thing you have everything, there is something else, lol. All in all, I will be in it about $4,500 for the swap but that’s all forged goods, machining, and so on. More like 5K once I buy a tuner and the dyno time. Should be in around june, july. I am in no hurry, stock 2V still runs strong which means I can relax, take my time, and do it right.

AH, not even going to mess with it. I got a decent deal and as long as the center main studs are ARP, I am confident it will handle more than what I will throw at it.

must be an 05+ alum. block thing, I have a full set of studs(4) and side bolts for a teksid. even if you can't get outer studs you should be able to get arp bolts

edit: sean hyland(sp?) offers a set

yah, they tried to sell me on them not selling the 4 bolt and they just use the 2 bolt ARP mains for the center studs and stock bolts on the outer mains. Really not worth paing to ship them back and pay there crazy restock fee and so on. I will be putting down 700's which sounds safe using the center studs.

I just stayed with the cast iron. I couldn't see paying another grand for the alluminum, when for a little more I could have got the boss block.
