My Goal is 400 RWHP...tell me what u think

I'm leaning towards a Vortech....(price seems right) although I know with stock internals I'm not gonna get to 400 safely...I got a friend who has the same car with almost identical mods pushin 410rwhp with a vortech with the aftercooler (another $1000 though).....I'm thinkin I could probably get the same with the Vortech, and instead of the aftercooler I'll get a cam (not sure which one though) and be able to get a safer tune.....

do you guys think it would be more cost effective to get the aftercooler and no cam or get the cam and no aftercooler.....Or should I do something completely different!!!???

my goal is no less than 400 to the wheels with stock internals on a daily driver.....doable?.....or should I just get the blower and call it a day?

oh...btw...I got 245rwhp and 280rwt right now on a mustang dyno...check my mods...

thanks....

A bit more expensive, but will get you to your goal. I think you will have to forge your internals regardless, just to be safe.

I would go with the aftercooler. 400 shouldn't be a problem and the aftercooler won't affect your driveability like a hot pair of bump sticks will. Also, the aftercooler would help make the supercharger easier on your motor.

Get a Mongoose kit...You can pay an extra $250 when you buy and upgrade it to a T-Trim...Tim sends a tune with it and the tune is dead-on...

If i'm not mistaken you can get a KB 6 psi kit for about 3700, and about another grand for an intercooler and ability for ore boost.... Isnt that about the same price as the vortecs or am i confused???

A 6-14 PSI Kenne Bell w/AC intercooled w/boost-a-pump and chip is $4999.00. The non-intercooled version is $3899.00.

ok the think with the intercooler, is it allows you run to more timing since your getting cooler air. the cams and no intercooler isnt going to make you get more boost. itll give you a little more power, but not what your wanting. buy a vortec, and if you dont want the intercooler, do some methanol injection. also 400 rwhp with a safe tune will be perfectly fine. all you have to do is make sure you get a really good tune, and also dont over rev the motor. there would be no reason to rev it past 5800./ thats the big killer in these motors. people over rev them which causes a lot of heat which causes pistons to break

well let me correct you also and say that its cams (plural), you have 2, one over each head but hey if you just want to get 1 go ahead but i don't think the car will run right lol. You can get a methanol kit for around 300 bucks and it will work wonders on a non intercooled supercharger
