She's doing it again

Alright, remember before, when I was mentioning my car acting up? Well either way, my 2000 GT way back when was dropping RPMS when starting, then jumping up. So I figured no biggie, IAC is clean. Well, now... I started it, and it stalled... dropped low, struggled, and stalled. So I start it back up right away, works amazing, no issue at all! Never any problem once it's up and running.

Overdue for oil change.

Any ideas?

That happened to my 01 GT and is very common in mustangs. Mine would drop to 0 rpms and shut off. as long as I gassed I was fine. sucked at stop lights. I believe it is a 10 dollar part and five minute install. Call FORD and just tell them your car wont hold rpm and they will tell you what it is...I cant remember. Even if this isnt your direct problem...its the same item causing it. My Gt was 2 months old when it happened and was bought straight from factory. IT is so common that they diagnosed it over the phone before I took it in-should have been recalled. Its an inexpensive fix-if thats the problem.

Awesome, appreciate the info, at first I figured it was my IAC (Valve) but I popped that off, disconnect the electrical lead and threw some throttle body cleaner on it as advised by MM but then it still does it.

Great to know it's something simple.

Nice Sig BTW, I saw an SVT at my work today, was older though.
