my first day at the track
hey guys i went to the track for the first time today in my mostly stock 02 gt. all i've got are U/D pulleys and cat-back exhaust.
My first time ever down the strip i went 14.1 @99. My second run was a 13.9 @100. Do these times sound ok? i had really slow reac times... is there a trick to getting those reac times down, or is it just practice?

well just to let you know reaction time does not effect your quarter mile time. But the only trick is as soon as you see the third yellow light get on it, cause by the time you brain reacts and you dump the clutch the light will already be green, i have managed only 3 perfect lights since i have been racing for 4 years

That's damn good. I haven't taken my car yet but I'd be dang surprised if I broke 13's on my first trip. Good driving.

doesnt your car have the complete steeda g-track suspension. if so, those times arent bad, since your car is rock solid

yeah I have all 3 stages of the g-trac suspension. The car is stiff as hell. Does that help a lot?

what was your 60ft? i cut a 14.5 on a totally stock GT at 96.5 with a 2.3 60 ft, oh and a tranny that has all 5 gears helps too (eventhough you still ran a 13 on me)
