Oh, no don't be misled...she's the latter. She doesn't get me and making the Bullitt faster...she just likes the way the Bullitt looks. She doesn't even like it when I get on the throttle with her in the car. She doesn't like that amazing pull feeling when you are deep into the throttle.

Well if it's two different cars I think it is irrelevant. Two completely stock 2004 Mustangs probably make different power to the wheels. Some cars are factory freaks and some cars are a little lacking from the factory. I think the only comparison would be on the same exact car that had stock manifolds with an O/R pipe that switched over to long tubes and O/R pipe

Agreed, there are some freaks out there. But for arguments sake this is what I have to show between the two. I wish I had the money to show the difference, but my money tree wilted the day I got married. LOL.

My girl just gets mad if I don't give a warning before I stomp on it. I think its funny getting unsuspecting victims whiplash ;p but she loooves to make fun of ricers now. Even tho car stuff is completely foreign she makes fun of them. "Ohhh that's fake!" Or "wish you had your stang to smash that ricer huh". She now even calls them dumbasses with idiotic body kits. Trained her well

I'd be proud. I'm working on my boys...they know American muscle when they see it. They can pick out mustangs, camaro's, and vettes pretty well.

It's probably close, but people are gonna throw a shit fit if it wasn't the same car. And I hear you on the money tree wilting when you get married, just the other day my dad told me I was smart to get all my car things done before I got married and had kids because then I wouldn't have time and money to do it. I had my girlfriend vaguely question how I was going to be a good father if I was spending all my time in the garage last night. I kinda went off on her because well... yeah, priorities change significantly when you're in that situation

Atta boy Baker. If you do it enough she'll eventually come around. My gf doesn't like all the time I spend on cars, but she LOVES the results. It's kinda nice that she likes being pasted to the seat when I goose it. She hasn't ridden in my Mustang much but she loves riding in my Demon!

You shoulda seen the look on my GFs face the first time I "drifted" a corner hahaha. Priceless. But she's used to it now and like I said, she loves it. I also explained to her what a ricer was, and now she is quick to point them out and make fun of them. She even made fun of the fact that I have a spoiler and hood scoop on my car that don't do anything! So I took the spoiler off and am in the market for a Cobra R hood haha I love it Speaking of ricers, I met a superdouche in a multicolored cavalier (with the double-decker parkbench spoiler, fartcan exhaust, body kit bumpers that stuck out about a foot, and side skirts that I wanted to knock off with an American History X style curbstomp) yesterday in the Walmart parking lot. We made eye contact and I couldn't help but to give him a shitty grin and shake my head Of course I had to let the exhaust breathe a little bit (okay, lol, a lotta bit) when I rolled by. Needless to say it's been a long winter, this is the first week I've been able to drive my car since last October. I was getting pretty tired of rocking my '94 Dodge Shadow

dcook's sig is the best fuckin thing.

Anyways, I know Im late but, in my opinion if Im doing Longtubes, Im doing a tubular k-member while Im there. And when I get longtubes, Im getting SS and ones I dont have to adjust when I do a clutch change. So either $800 SLP's or $900 Kooks.

Longtubes prolly shed a few pounds from the exhaust manifolds. And if you have a few days to shut the car down, and do the install...why not? Looks like something that would be a PITA, but very rewarding once its done. I could notice a big high rpm differance when I did my Prochamber. If I did longtubes, Im sure I would.

But you think, for my point of view. $700 UPR K-Member w/ Coilovers. $800 SLP Longtubes - $380 SLP shorty X-Pipe thats $1880 for something that will make the car a good amount faster. But then again, I could just turn the boost up with some fuel stuff

Haha, thanks

I also agree that it's kinda silly to JUST do longtubes when you're in there. Might as well save up the dough and do tube-k/CO, LTs, clutch work, etc as long as everything is apart anyway

So you made more HP and torque than your buddy with the LT's? Wowzers, I wouldn't have figured that one

ur girl sounds a bit like my brother lol... only my brothers a chebby fan... one of the trips back home we took my stang and kept complaining my "v6 didnt have any power like his camaro does".. and that "it couldnt move". lol he went to sleep in the pass seat and i needed to hurry and squeeze into a hole... so i shifted to 3rd.. dropped the clutch and car kicked with the accel waking his but up and scaring the crap outta him... ntm he screamed like a girl when i did it lol...

so apparently it has enough of a kick to wake his butt up from a dead sleep.. and i made it through the little hole i was going for...

Wise words. There is a reason I went almost 30 years between muscle cars. I even quit driving economy pony cars when I strapped two small kids in the back seat of a six cylinder Camaro and drove across country. They couldn't see anything and they punished me for it for 36 hours each way (three 12 hour days). I traded the car for a custom full size van when I got back.

My girlfriend loved my '69 Camaro back then. My wife (same woman) hates my Mustang. She calls it the love of my life...

Well, to be honest its probably a toss up... between my Mustang and my Harley.

I just checked my garage on here and found that I actually pulled a max of 8.6 #s of boost (on the Bullitt I have now) for what it's worth on my comparisons I posted earlier. Yes, two different Bullitts, so you can argue that point easily, but for what it's worth (generally speaking) .4 #s of boost is hardly going to make that big of a difference, IMO.
