CAI Installation Help

Ok so I bought a BBK Cold Air Intake for my GT today and fell into a couple of problems originally it did not sit right when going into the fender hole i was able to twist it to a good angle then I raised the car because its dropped in the front and went under the wheel well to install the final part, the filter it was pretty hard. I unscrewed the fender guard and had to pop off a gromit type pin and it didn't really give me much more room to work with, I pushed the filter through the opening and it would not fit right after a little more looking due to the darkness I encountered a electrical box that was stopping the filter to being able to push all the way through the tubing my question is did anyone else run into this problem with the black box or what am I doing wrong went online for some help but everyone says it take 20min and its been like hours im only 17 but think im pretty savvy at this type of stuff. I got Kinda pissed at myself and stopped for the night its raining too, guess i have to take the SUV to school tomorrow There isn't any more room either the move the tubing to the right or left because the filter rubs on the fender already.. What did you guys do any tips I thought it would be pretty easy, Thanks in advance.

Do a google search for "mustang world mac intake install". The mac and bbl intakes are damn near identical. They talk about a bracket that you have to move. I have the mac intake on my 04 and didn't have to move anything but hrs may be different.

Having a second set of hands to help with filter is nice as well

Ok I just read it and I see what you mean. That is a good idea with the bracket, tomorrow ill try unscrewing it and putting the filter on then see if i can put the pump back on without a bracket. Thanks for the info

Also did you remove the fender guard totally or how did you move around in there because I do not have access to a lift.
