Possible "Uh Oh"....

Ok so today driving home from my baseball game, I heard a weird noise from the Mustang. It sounded like the sharpening of a knife, when I would accelerate. It's not very loud but I can faintly hear it while driving. I know it's coming from the motor/trans area. I'm hoping it's not a bearing....

My guess is going to be rotor related. Check all of your calipers and see if you have a single excessively worn brake pad.

Not Really. Hard to tell what I'm listening for. Almost sounds like what's wrong with mine at the very beginning...

A loud pop like a backfire was what started it. I doubt it is the brakes....

if you had an intake backfire, a hose could come off or filter partially off on cai before the maf causing a sucking noise on accel, just stabbing in dark

It doesn't sound like a sucking noise. Could be possible though. I took the car out this morning in like 35-40* weather, and all she did was backfire a few times but didn't hear the "sound" anymore.

Well I know that I have some syncro issues with mine. It could be what you are hearing.

Ya could be. I can't really hear it anymore thankfully. As long as it isn't motor related, I'll be happy.
