The New Laundry List
Well, the Off Base Commander has spoken, so no aluminator short block for me...
I'm going to ride out on the stock short block a little bit longer...hope it holds. So, here's where I am and where I want to go.Currently: Vortech SQ-Trim 3.6 pulley currently on the blower 38 # injectors Ford GT super car pump o/r x MM LCAs 3.33 pulley not installed aftercooler with an in trunk waterbox not installed What I want to buy and install plus aftercooler and pulley: Return Style Fuel System Lethal Performance 99-04 GT Return Style Fuel System [LP-9904GTRETURN] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs MAC LT headers Mac 99-04 GT/2V 1 5/8 Ceramic Coated Longtube Headers [MAC-TF9603] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs Lethal Performance Catted X Lethal Performance 99-04 GT Catted X-Pipe for Mac LT Headers [LP-MACLTCATSHRTX] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs Adjustable UCA PA Racing Custom Bracket made for in trunk water box. Possibly a Stage 1 blower cam ModularHeadShop Bullet Cams Timesert the other 7 spark plug holes. Retune Can you guys think of anything else that I would need with the above mentioned parts? I thought about piecing a used fuel system together, but it was going to cost almost as much as a brand new one with the parts found on various forums, so I said screw it and go new. I know I need a cobra tank, but I don't think it will be in the cards for now unless I find one really cheap. I just have to make sure to keep the fuel above 1/4 tank. I've been doing that any way with running a single Ford GT pump with holes in the basket to make sure it doesn't suck the basket dry. So, I'm pretty used to keeping it fueled up. I'm guessing I'll get roughly 420 at the wheels. I'll make sure the tuner gets the tune very conservative. Don't need to blow up the stock block, but at least I can tell the wife I told you so. lol |

Hahah I thought it was pretty funny.
Off Base Commander Shirt from Zazzle.com Sorry I didnt offer any real advice in the thread, hope this makes up for it. Edit: You gunna replace the springs when you do the cams? I know they're only stage ones, but if you're going to have the engine so torn down already... I would like the added assurance my stockers wouldnt fail.

If you're getting a cam I wouldn't waste time with stage 1, just get a 2. And def do springs. I had valve float with stock cams.

I can't use MHS stage 2s unfortunately. I'd need a intake valve upgrade on top of springs. That's if I get a cam. lol

Looks good. Id just go with some valve springs to compliment the cams. Look into a stage II cam as well. Nothing wrong with the stage I but if youre gonna spend the money you may as well get the best performance you can.
Also look into the percy soft copper gaskets (I think its those) for the long tubes. |

Any reason you chose MHS as a cam?
