What size pipe is the vortech discharge pipe

Hey what size is the outlet pipe where it meets the throttle body? I want to grab a coupler I know will fit a 75mm tb

I wanna say 2.75 but could be wrong as ive never used one. Just saying that considering the discharge on the headunit its self is 2.75. I doubt its any larger than 3" though.

This doesnt sound right...so if it isnt dont hold it against me but from what I just found/read on superchargersonline.com it seems like its 2 inches

# 3" x 2" Sleeve
# 2-3/4" x 2" Sleeve

I saw That. I wonder if the 2 3/4 is the pipe side and the 2 inches is for the stock size tb?

the 2.75 x 2 would be for the discharge/outlet on the headunit. 2.75 on the headunit then 2 on the discharge

then the other would be 2 on the pipe side and 3 on the tb side as you can still clamp a 3" coupler down onto the factory tb w/o any issues as long as youre using a good clamp

your making it hard on yourself. t/b's o/d are all the same it's the i/d thats diffrent (ie. 65mm,70mm,75mm,etc).

So I should have no issues with my 75 mm? One guy was saying he almost never got the coupler over his 70mm. I can barely get my stock tube on my 75mm

if you do boil the coupler in some water to expand it. I wouldnt worry about it/make it anything to stress about though.

shouldn't have any problems. might be tight but thats a feature of the coupler not the t/b.

Cool I will try that when it gets here. I highly doubt my trickflow tb is exactly the same od as my stocker. The factory intake tube was a biotch to get on there

Just a little trick for what you put it together. Steal some of the womans hair spray and spray down the pipe and couplers with it then slip them together. Itll help the couplers/pipe slide together at first then once it dries itll help hold them together/make a seal along with the clamps. Kinda a 2 for 1 thing.

no way is the piping 2 inches. my procharger's is 3 inches and i didn't see a noticeable difference between the two.

Just doubled checked for you in the vortech manual. It says this...

"Slide the 3" sleeve and __ clamp onto the throttle body, slide the 2.75" sleeve and __ clamp onto the supercharger discharge."

Then the next step or 2 is to install the discharge pipe. Under the parts list for discharge parts it also shows 3" x 2" and 2.75" x 2" for the couplers just as superchargersonline.com does. So I guess the discharge is indeed 2"
