To be honest man, its very easy. But dont over tighten the brass, it will strip.
I bought the 3/8 NPT Punch, and took a hammer and kept tapping it in there, it went in very easy.

I wouldn't recommend that since you are going to have to swap your pullies around to install it. Just tap it yourself. If you are afraid of punching the hole too big just tap the punch in a little bit at a time and then pull it out and check it with the tap. That's how I did it to make sure I didn't make the hole to big and it's worked for me...twice! I installed the same blower on two Bullitts.

I didnt even use a tap, just a conical drill bit then taped the hole. Did my car and my buddies like that and it worked great.
Black what pullies are you talking about?? I could see the idler pulley possibly getting in the way but that would be easy enough to swap out. Call your tuner you may be able to arrange to have them tap the pan for you and install the belt and anythin else you may need. Honestly though its not very hard, try and find someone local to help you out.

If the paxton setup is anything like the Vortech you have to take one idler pulley off and add it to the blower bracket and in the idler pulley's original place goes a grooved idler pulley from Vortech. So, that makes it difficult to use the stock belt in the new configurations. I'm pretty sure the two brands or similar in installation, but I'd have to view an installation guide off their websites.

Buy a 3/8 npt tap for a few bucks and the punch from superchargersonline.com for 20 something bucks. Mark the correct spot per the manual. Hammer the punch in to the correct depth, then tap it....Simple as that other than packing the tap with grease and applying black rtv. Only way youre gonna screw it up is if youre an absolute dumbass. Last edited by ajm; March 16th, 2010 at 06:40 PM. |

After you tap the pan clean the threads in the pan and threads on the brass fitting with lacquer thinner. Apply black rtv to both threads. Thread the brass part in. Then smear black rtv around the outside of the brass fitting where it butts up against the pan. Thatll settle your worries about leaks

Take your pan off and have someone weld a bung on it. I have a stock oil pan with two 1/2 npt bungs welded in the front the front. I have a "7" quart pan I run now.
