Just got some wonderful news...

Rear end is probably shot. Not sure if it's the whole rear, or just the internals yet. I know I didn't really push it hard. I never even did a burn-out in the thing. I have a feeling the guy I bought it off of sold it knowing it was about to go.

Bastards. I haven't even had it a year. Not sure what to do next. Not sure If I just want to sell it instead of putting money into another freaking rear.

Just kinda frustrated right now.

Build it if you like the car. If you aren't attached to it just get one outta the junkyard and sell it

They are saying the housing isn't probably usable either.

Breaking parts isn't a bad thing, it gives you a nice excuse to get better parts.

I'll sell you my stocker if you want it

Not sure. They said they couldn't work on it. He wasn't sure if it was just the insides or the housing. I got to find someone to look at it that isn't part of a stealership. It's nothing I did to it.

The took the cover off and said it was a mess. I haven't been driving it much the past 4 months because of winter. And only had it for 4 months before that. I sure as heck didn't abuse it in that time.

Yeah.. I could probably do that but I don't have the skills to even see what would be wrong. Sorry. :/

And the place isn't out for money. They told me they couldn't do the work.

I found a rear end to a 2001 (Mines a 2002) with no bids and no reserve and the big is set at $100 as the lowest.

Hope no one bids on it

*yeah I know fat chance*

So do I...

My guess is you've got a leak on the cover, lost some fluid, toasted some stuff.

Not the end of the world-
Take it to a transmission shop and see what they say. My guess is you'll need a new diff ($<300).
Great time to upgrade and throw in some gears...

I am not "uncalm" just disappointed. The craigslist around here stinks. I found something on Ebay I am looking at right now. we will see.

Shoot me an offer I guess. I was looking for like $600 but that's with all the control arms, shocks, springs, spindles, brakes and everything with it. I could part it out for you... probably not much of a market for stuff like shocks and springs, but I bet I could sell the spindles and brakes to some fox guys looking to swap to 5 lug if you were interested in the housing and center section

I am just interested in housing and center section actually. All that for $600 isn't a bad deal. But I don't need all that, and I don't have the time to part it out right now. :/
