ok, now to get us back on topic... i Just took mine off today. thankfully no paint peel. everything actually looked pretty good. so just some clean up and then the plugs, once i get the touch up kit. gotta love the laser red. i can only find the touch up kit online for like 40 bucks. anyone else know of anything better???

will post pics too.

I've used clear nail polish to cover up chip marks to prevent rust before. I dunno about a coloured nail polish though

What's the significance of it being a v6 trunk lid? They have the same trunk lids at the v8's lol

i also want a laser red v6 bumper switched with my GT bumper so i can go side exit w/o leaving the holes open.

i really like the car with the spoiler gone. looks better than i thought it would. just got to get rid of the fudge left behind from the spoiler. i tried rubbing comppound but it started to take of my clear coat too. not good. so maybe i'll just let it wash away over time. idk.. any suggestions

A lot of them are spoilerless but I think you had the option to get a spoiler on the V6...

And I'm about positive you can find someone with a Laser Red V6 that would trade you for your Laser Red GT bumper...Seems like all the V6 guys want GT bumpers for dual exhaust and the GT guys want V6 bumpers for side exhaust lol

Try that in the classified section, you'll find someone, try a couple other forums as well. You're almost certain to find someone..

I'll trade you my silver paint for your red paint...I searched high and low but couldn't find a NICE red GT within 300 miles of me...So I had to settle for silver.

you pretty much have to weld those holes shut, bondo will crack out immediately because the surface around it flexes. if you have a mig welder or maybe arc welder you could weld those shut, and grind down the welds flush and THEN bondo and paint.

You should be able to polish with a couple different stages of polish to get the shine back

and yes, v6 trunk b/c it wouldn't have the holes for the spoiler, assuming it never had one.
