Whats are your 1/8 miles times in your stock/few bolt-ons GT
Went to the track for Test and Tune the first time tonight with some friends and my fiancee. It was alot of fun and i hope one day my car is as fast as a few of those cars even in my street class.
I was a little skiddish at first since it was my first time driving on a track so i let my buddy take the first shot at it. He ran a 9.20 and then i got in the car the next time around but i was a little shakey and my reaction time did suck at a + .2196 but i ran a 9.0956 at 79.79 mph. I have an un-tuned 2000 Gt 4.6 speed with 70k on it, bolt-ons are a ford motor sports ported/polished plenum,04 GT tr-3650 trans, stage 4.3 F1 six puck racing clutch, steeda triax sts,373 frpp rear gears,x-pipe into mach chamber flows and a home made cold air intake. I dont really know if thats a decent time or not but ied love to hear what everyone else is running in the 1/8 and what is done to your car.

Lol yeah the clutch is a bit more then what i need right now but when i broke the 2nd gear shift fork in my t45 i decided to get a good trans and the clutch was only 200 shipped to my door from my brothers military buddy. He paid way more then that for it and never used it so i was like hell yeah. Its either in or out theres no in between but im getting more used to it now.
I do hate the loud tranny noises from the 04 gt 3650, it has royal purple in it and i was told to use AMS Oil in it. Will that help any or bad idea? Thanks everyone for your replys im headed to Nashville the fiancee's brother is in the next Nashville star 2010 so i got show the love she is making me go.

I was usually running 8.7's with 4.10's intake and exhaust. I ran a 8.63 that was my best.

Stock first time to the track I was running 10's blowing off the stock tires at the tree. After a few runs I got it down to 9.4 with not so much spinning. I was also too dumb to go around the water box, and my 60' was consistantly 2+ seconds. My wife kept saying, "what do we have to do to your car to make you win once". I told her it was test-n-tune and we weren't racing, but she never caught on. She just saw me losing, lol. I probably should have went with it and told her what I needed.

My best was also yesterday, finally got into the 13's.
2.178 60ft 9.042 1/8th 79.36 1/8th mph 13.87 1/4 mile 101.37 1/4 mile mph I could have probably went faster but it was crowded as shit at the track so I was only able to do two runs before the rain came. |
