you can do termi a arms if you are looking to upgrade but not drop the coin on rest of it. as far as best k-member, its mostly personal preference. i have a QA1 and like it, have heard good things from the MM, and AJE as well.

mm or griggs is the best for autocross. weigh a little bit more but its because its stronger and better quality. but both of them come at a high price. im going with granatelli i think...

nd..... this depends on your needs
![]() If you are stictly a DD with 1/4 mile ONLY, QA1 is going to be fine. If you are after track work or AX, go MM or Griggs due to additional strength as liljojo said. Jazzer

Okay so i use it for DD and 1/4 mile, so is there anything else anyone would recommend? Also like i said, Do i have to watch out for cheap chinese made or shitty american made k members?
If I do decide to get a k member do i have to get the same brand A arms to fit? and should i also buy new lowering springs as well?

I have a QA1 k-member with MMR tubular a-arms and MMR coilovers. depending on the k-member you cant use teh stock style a-arms, as some dont have a spring perch. and have to go with coilovers

its a strut/shock that goes through a spring pretty much. coil over (strut)
i would get the full upr setup which includes a arms, tubular k and coilovers. then you will need caster camber plates and you my as well get some new struts with the coilovers...then call it a day. lol. kinda pointless to use a tubular k with stock a arms IMO

For a DD, you'll need something that's built stonger than a drag-only unit. I'd go with one of the big, known brands: MM, Griggs, Steeda, etc. Not necessarily. Most A-arms are built to fit the stock K-member, so they should interchange between the various aftermarket K-members. I do know that the MM A-arms require going Coil-over, as do the Griggs units. You'll only need new springs if you go from the stock spring location to a coil-over setup.

upr advertises their k member as "built to handle the abuse of every day driving"....
and it has lifetime warranty

I installed a UPR for a guy and it has held up very well for a daily driver/weekend warrior. I haven't dealt with the AJE unit for mustangs but the one they made for thunderbirds was terrible.
