Bearing removal help

I'm in the middle of my gear swap and am trying to remove the bearings from the diff. I've tried everything I can think of except grinding down the inner race and splitting it.
I Heated them and have a 2 jaw puller but they just won't budge. I'd just leave em but the puller slipped off and fubar'd the bearing so now they have to come off now matter what.

I was hoping I could do it this weekend but it looks like I might have to take it someplace with a press.

Anyone got any bright ideas before I give up?

Heat helps however the trick I use for the really stubborn ones is to put the puller on as tight as you can get it then smack it with a hammer. The impact will usually pop them loose enough that you can remove it.

What are you smaking on the bearing or the puller? I tried the bearing but it didn't work.

I used a bearing splitter/puller combo, and it came off like butter.

Nice but kinda spendy for a tool used once a year or so. Maybe next time.

I got the damm things off. Had to get mad and beat the sheot out of it!

Now I should be able to start putting it back together.

if your replacing the race anyway (which is a good idea especially with a new bearing) then just get a punch and knock it out with a hammer from the front (driveshaft side)

just wedge it against the side of the race (punch at an angle) and go around it knocking it out in a star like pattern (back and forth)

edit, read you got it out
