Okay opinions/guidance HELP!

Okay so assuming my guy is correct, the cause of my air leak that appeared to be a vacuum leak is in fact a cracked intake manifold ( stupid plastic crap ).

So for starters someone send me a link to a non crappy intake that won't break the bank. I see ebay has an aluminum one and also an updated part plastic part aluminum intake for around 250. I'm not a prof when it comes to the engine so I'd like any help possible.

I'll also need any seals or gaskets required and since I've never done it I'd hope you guys can give me the ifo on the necessities to do the swap.

Also I need a new pcv valve. Mine is sticking so its pinching off the line after it when a vacuum occurs.

A link for a good one of those would help as well.

Other than that, I saw a bullet intake and didnt know how much different it is from mine or if it would work. Its aluminum though?

I though the Bullitt intakes were plastic, too? Not that plastic is bad for an N/A motor - it's super light, cheap, and has desireable heat characteristics.

Of course, you could just get a twinscrew, since you have to replace the intake anyway, hahaha.

Bullit intake is metal and requires more mods than jsut the manifold. Not worth it IMO. Will that intake you posted cause him to lose any power in low range or is it basically identical to stock? The edelbrock would also be another choice.

I just need another and would rather cheap. 250 isn't a bad price on ebay. I could get another stock one for 200 but I'd rather not plastic to avoid the cracking again.

What are my chances of it lasting a long time?

I really want to end the noise.

This is the original thread on the sound. We used carb cleaner to try and locate the leak but couldn't so our guess is intake crack.

Odd sound under hood

The stock one has lasted 8 years already. How long do you want cheap to last. You might not have the car in 8 years.

if you want a cheap all aluminum replacement, Professional Products has what your looking for but i cant vouch for how well it works or if it helps/hurts power. but its what you're looking for...the Bullitt manifold is aluminum and looks bad ass but it requires alot more than just the manifold to put on your car. it can get expensive real quick. Ford rated the Bullitt 5hp more than the base GT so i dont think its really worth the hassle.
