it's your decision....it's probably worth the 13k, but you never know....
it's your money and look at all the time & money you'll save on buying and installing mods...

ask questions...
i'm sure he will work with you ...
or do what everybody else is saying and spend twice that to make the same car.....
it's up to you..
but if in fact is is ragged on stay away!!

Wow fuck I wasnt expecting this much help, but thanks man.
Basically after reading the posts you guys are right, I should just buy a stock cobra and down the road do what I want with it, this guy is giving my a red alarm to since he says he wants a deposit before anyone drives it. The only thing I was worried about was a stock 01 gt is a pretty weak car with about 260hp which isn't bad but a little low, and I have 22k but I didn't want to spend it all I wanted to spend around 16kish total.

Find a Cobra anywhere in the US and take a vacation to go get it. East coast prices are pretty high. The savings of buying someplace else will probably pay for your vacation.

I've done it, and it can totally work out. :
Of course you have to do some work with the seller ahead of time, like lots of pictures, CARFAX, etc.. If you are serious, you could find a shop in his area and make an appt and pay for the inspection and talk to the shop on the phone. If the seller knows you are willing to travel to get the car, they take you more seriously and will tend to work with you (one dude bought me lunch and filled the tank, + I found $20 in the glove box with a note that said the first oil change was on him..)

Worth it to get the car you want, exactly how you want it. You just gotta be patiant.

Lots of people have done it.
The BEST part is the drive home with your new ride. It's like skipin town one day with a smokin hot chick and not comin back for 4 days.
By the time you get home, everything in your life will be clear and you will know what the next step is, what mods, career, diet, religion you need.

Take a bus dude, ~$100.

How do you have 3 dyno tunes on a car that hasn't ever been on a dyno??? Anyone else catch that?

I'm guessing he means he has three "selectable" tunes, probably two octane based and the off the shelf one for the S/C.

Still kinda weird wording.
