Mods..lowering or chassis stiffening first?

So I am setting out on making my mustang a road racer and have a list of mods in mind. I want to split it up into stages due to costs. Which one will give me the most benefit first?

fyi. I have a 2004 mach 1 with 25k miles.

Option #1 - lowering
  • Spings
  • Struts & Shocks
  • Spring Isolators
  • Caster & Camber Plates
  • Swaybar Bushings
  • Swaybar Endlinks

Option #2 - chassis ridgity & advanced suspenion parts
  • Full Length subframe connectors
  • strut tower brace
  • panhard bar
  • Upper and lower rear control arms
  • Optional: K member brace
  • Optional: front control arm bushings

I would lower the car before chassis stiffening because you will feel much more of a difference than with chassis stiffening. Plus if you lower the car is loses some weight or it stays the same vs. adding weight with parts that wont make a ton of noticeable difference.

uh oh. on the spring iso's I just figured since we are in their might as well do them. Only issue with swapping sway bar with SFC's is price I suppose.

There ya go. The sway bars and endlinks really you won't want to mess with unless you think the car over or under steers right now. Take some time to figure out how you want the car to respond differently if at all. I'd look into the list above, LCA's being last of that list.

Im them! At 25k, you bushings are still good. no need to replace them. Spend the money where you notice it right now.

Length, lol.

Full length go all the way from the torque box in the rear to where the subframe curves up in front

Honestly, I'm not even sure if anyone sells anything besides full-length anymore as there's no real point to it.
