My first 12 second run Woohoo!

I went to Atco Raceway yesterday and was able to finally break into the 12s!

Ran a bunch of 13.0X runs, then ...

60' = 1.752
330' = 5.274
1/8th = 8.195 @ 83.38 MPH
1000' = 10.744
1/4 = 12.907 @ 104.64

I ran against my buddy in his late-model GTO. He always pulls the best out of me.

After reading about some of you guys dropping the clutch at 5500 rpms I decided to let her really rip. Traction was excellent from all the dragsters laying down rubber for a few hours. Temps in the low 70s. Atco is one of the fastest tracks in the country due to the low altitude (93 feet above sea level). I smoked the tires real well. I ran the revs up to 5600, slipped the clutch as I floored it. The tires wheeled for maybe one or a two revolutions then the car rocked back hard on my M/T ET street radials and shot forward. My shifts were solid with just a slight chirp into second. I powershifted only on the 3 to 4 shift.

I'm addicted to this!

Time to add some more power, put in some 4.10s, or go on a diet (I weigh about 265 lbs), as I think this is about all I can wring out of her (OK, maybe a tiny bit more) with 265rwhp and 3.73s.

Mods are in my garage.

I was estatic at my first 12.91@104.9, especially when there were people with a lot more mods than I have that couldn't get there........... That always means more to me.
