410 gears what else for install

hey guys im a new member who just bought his very first mustang, its a 2004 40th anniversary gt vert. i have been doing alot of reading on here and even though i do do some highway driving (50mile round trip to and from work) i am gonna go with the 410s (i usually only cruise around 70mph). any way i am thinking about getting the ford racing gears from american muscle, and my main two questions are:

1. do these gears whine or make any noise
2. what else is needed for the install besides the gears (car only has 42k miles on it)

my other mods are b & m short throw and flowmaster catback (american thunder).

if you're buying from AM you might as well get the optional bearing/t-loc rebuild kit.

410s will put you well above 2500+ for crusing speeds tho, probably closer to 3000 depending on what size tire you're running. just be well aware of the increase in gas milage, as well as the fact that you're crusing at 3000rpm for 50miles and have to deal with exhaust sound. I know my american thunder kit has a drone around 2k, haven't done too much crusing at 2.7-3k tho as i just got the kit.

You will probably need the shims so get the full install kit. I wish I had gone that route rather than idividual parts chase(went against recomendations). I also did my wheel bearings at the same time - thanks F8L. The pass one came apart when the axle was pulled out of the way. My car only has 58k miles. Should get my shims tomorrow via fedex.

with 410's your gas mileage will suck you broke at 50 miles per day.

I would go with the 373's, you feel it and have the response and a little less on the higher rpm. Mine runs at 2400 RPM at 70 MPH with 373's. 410's will push you to around 3000, so you'll be drinking the gas for sure.

I have 4:10's in my 99 gt and the rpm's do run right at or around 2700 to 2800 at 70mph. Gas mileage did go down but notenough to bother me that much. Really the only complaint I have is that the exhaust drone is pretty loud, although I do have magnaflow magnapacks on it LOL. Anyway when I bought and installed them I replaced the rear diff gear oil and there is an additive you put in it (forgot what it is, but your local parts store should be able to tell you). That was all I did and it is still running strong, no whining or anything like that and I installed mine at around 80,000miles and now have over 130,000 on it. Drag strip, road race, highway, stop and go and still no problems!!!!

Price varies a lot depending on where you go etc.
There's a write up here somewhere that has a pretty good list of what else you need.
Gas mileage difference is nominal...Usually when your gas mileage goes to sh!t with 410's it's because you're either getting on it all the time or you're in a lower gear than you should be thus RPM's are higher then they need to be. This topic has been beat to death; no offense.

Ok I was just asking because there seems to be quite a few options on the drop down menu when ordering from American muscle. ..so should I get the rebuild kit with carbon discs and the motive bearing kit?
