something broke

hey guys i got an 01 mustang gt 5 speed and when i go in reverse it feel like my back end shifts also if im on a sharper turn and give it some gas it feels like the back end is shifting out of place a makes a noise. i know im not sliding out or anything so can anyone tell me what this could be. thanks. also when im driving it drives just fine only in reverse and if im not giving it enough gas, if i give it a lil bit more gas than normal it does nothing.

Sounds like a muffler bearing...

Jack the thing up and take a look. It could be numerous things. Were not going to be able to pin point exactly what it is.

those muffler bearings do tend to throw the back around and cause problems with reverse! Low blinker fluid could also be the culprit!

Nah.. its definitely a bad transmission belt tensioner. You're going to need to get a new one.

could be low in fluid, or actually it could be too full. a fluid change wouldn't be a bad idea though.

How many miles on the car? unless you have a leak, it shouldnt be low on fluid. Chances are your clutch needs to be adjusted
