thoughts on tires

Im thinking about purchasing new rims and tires for my stang. But im debating if it will be worth the extra cash to go with Nitto's over the Sumitomo's.

Thoughts? They dont sell sumitomo here in canada (as far as i know) so i know absolutely nothing about them and how they hold up.

Ive read nothing but horrible things about the sumitomos (sp?) with a few exceptions, for specifics try to search google.

Im pretty sure I can confidently say that the sumis dont hook for shit lol in the one time I've been out with em they turned into a cloud of smoke insanely easy lol

my buddys got some sumitimos htr and they hook like hell it depends on which ones you get if you get the htr z2s thay are shitty tou want either the htr z1 or z3s and you will be good to go but if you got the money i would just but the nittos

I'm running Sumitomo HTR 315/35-17s on th back. My winter Continental Extreme Contact 245/45-17 all-seasons hook better then they do. I'm getting Nitto's next time.

I've had Nitto NT555's on my car for almost about 1 and a half years and they still hook up like the day I put them on.

had nittos on my old stang and they hooked like crazy i would get them if i were you

I'm running a sumi right now (usually run mt dr's and always run them in the front) but at 80+mph in third I can still smoke them lol. The sumi's in the smaller sizes are decent but when the get to the 315 they just widen the thread gaps. So there's no more rubber on the road than say like a 275.

I had to have something cheap to get by for a while. The last time I tried them I had them for 2 weeks and sold them. Then I went and bought some MT's in the newer thread pattern and at 515rwhp I thought it was going to twist the car in half. I didn't have subframes yet lol.

I have also ran nittos and bfg's mt hooked far better than both especially the nittos
