Vortech s/c

Does anybody here know how to differentiate the v1 vortech s/c's between a-trim, s-trim and s-trim? Trying to figure out which one I have in my car. I got up to about 12 psi of boost on a hard run before. What's the most boost stock internals can handle?

12 pounds is a nice amount of boost for a 2v 4.6

it depends on your tune man.. i have seen 500rwhp 2v and 380rwhp 2v explode.

oh and how to tell the differewnce.. look at the part number on the blower. lol

i've gathered that 10psi is about as high as you want to go (safely) with stock internals on the 2v motor. but it probably depends on the supercharger too.

A-Trim = Never heard of it...

S-Trim / SQ-Trim = Good blower starts blowing hot air after 550rwhp...Very efficient blower (below 550)...

T-Trim = Good blower and will make up to close to 700rwhp before it starts blowing hot ait...Very efficient in the 450+rwhp range but below that not so much...

I am installing my mongoose kit tonight from www.modularpowerhouse.com I am going to be running a 3.4rr pulley with a mph boost pipe...Will see12#'s with that set-up...

I might make 12 with one it will be close. I would go 3.3. With a regular 3.3 pulley there was never any slip when I used it.
