Fixing Up My Fuel and Ignition System

I would like to know what is a good fuel rail setup and if it is worth going with 42# injectors on a cams/heads full bolt on GT motor.

Right now it has longtubes, off road x and a mac cat back along with a K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake. I plan on eventually putting a Kenne Belle or Whipple in the car when it is paid off in 2 years.

I also ordered the GMS PRO C.O.P. Setup and some new NGK V-Power Plugs.

Stock fuel rails are fine for performance, especially at your power levels. Aftermarket ones just look better.

Probably don't need that big of an injector on an N/A motor. I'd say for a h/c/i full bolt on car it'd probably be fine with some 30 lb'ers. If you're SERIOUS about putting the pd blower on there some day then it's not going to hurt to put in 42's now, you'll just have to get tuned for them.

+1, rails are a waste at that level. Just look pretty.

And another +1, unless your going boost you don't need 42's. But if it is in the back of your mind, then get them encase. You don't want to buy one injector then have to sell them back later when you build up with boost.

Im serious about the blower. In Fact a few family members are picking it up for a graduation present in june. Then i just have to resist installing it.

As long as im doing the injectors i should probably grab a MAF correct?

On another note are trick flow heads decent or is there something different and better?

You might be serious about it now, but plans change in two years. Just do the 42's now. If you end up not needing them they are easy to resell.

You don't need a new MAF unless you're pegging your old one.

4v heads outflow TFS heads all day but that's a whole 'nother story. There's a debate going on in these boards right now as to whether or not the TFS heads are worth the price tag.

Well if they are a direct bolt on to a 2v block(i know i need the intake manifold, etc.) then i would do it for sure possibly even some aftermarket 4v heads.

A lot more to it than installing 4v heads. You will need a maf with blower, but not at na yet. You are doing heads and a blower? What about the motor? Sounds like you are about to drop 12k+ on your car. Without touching suspension, and doing all labor yourself.

If you are getting a kb, it is the manifold.

The suspension is completely done and was when i bought the car.

The labor will all be done myself and to start off the heads and cams will be done this summer along with the rest of the bolt on stuff and then eventually the KB will be installed.
