Removing Fuel Rail


Ok to continue with my blowen spark plug i now have the car at a place to work on. 1st step is to remove the passenger saide fuel rail. Any tips or things i need to look at for?

This should help, follow the 3 vids, I know its about spark plugs but he also does the fuel rails.

rip that sucker off! When you pull the rail, look for gunk on the injectors and kinda clean them up if you need to. Some people put a grease on the injectors before putting them back in, but you wont hurt anything if you dont.

Just pops off, I released the pressure from the rail using the schraeder valve first. Also put some rags down to try and catch the excess fuel.

Just take of the nut that holds it in place, then it just pops off, but use the bleeder valve to release the pressure first.

stock driverside/passanger side fuel rails are connected thru a cross over fuel tube. So if you are pulling it completely off the car, you have to take them both off. But its really easy, just 4 bolts holding the entire thing down. Release the pressure through the schraeder valve, and use a fuel line release tool to disconnect it if you need to.
