kenne bell 1.7
what you guys think i found a 1.7 kenne bell polished intercooled kit everything included for $3200 also has the big tube kit wit lightning maf.it has 40000miles on it,i talked to kenne bell they said chargers are good for 80 to 120 thousand.we agreed on the amount all i have to do is meet him this week. Good deal or not?

I would do it but start at 2.5k and work your way up...

I'd start pretty low for something with that high a millage, you dont know it's history.

+2. if they supercharged it, chances are it was run hard, which relates to that blower being run hard. and kenne bell has the standard 2.1L kit now which outdates the 1.7. just all factors you could use to negotiate a lower price.
that being said, it's still a killer blower!

good blower, its just old and outdated. But i believe they are the loudest of the KB's so that will be cool as F!

+1 on the noise,thats what i want.the price was set at $3500 and i told him 32 and he must meet me half way which is about3.5 hour ride for i can visually check everything out and he agreed.yea and the kit is outdated but if i would get the 2.1 polished with the big air kit it would cost me close if not over $6000 so thats almost half off,i know a rebuild for the 2.1 is$699,so if they still can rebuild the 1.7 it shouldn't be much but i don't know if they rebuild it or not.

I love supercharger whine...That's why I wanted to do a Tork Tech Ported Eaton swap instead of Vortech...But until after I finally get school paid off, it's N/A for me.

I just bought a 2.2 for 3400 with everything brand new kit other that the blower itself (he upgraded to a 2.6). Ive seen a few kits like this going for about the same price, esp. on MPH, the 1.7 is a decent blower but if it was me I would hold out for one that has a little more potential. they do come around you just have to keep an eye on the forums as they do usually go quickly

HOW ABOUT WHEN I INSPECT THE CHARGER is there any signs to look for,i never inspected one can you grab pully to see if theres any play in shaft?

lol but yea just normal things like shaft play and rock the pulley back and forth to see if there is any lash in the internals...other than that there isnt a whole lot to look for. I see your from uniontown...Im just a hop skip and a jump away lol feel free to PM me and we'll exchange info and meet up sometime
