Two more codes, Lean in Bank 1 & 2

Sorry to start another thread for my stupid problems. But I can always count on you guys for help.

My car threw 2 more codes, Lean in bank 1, and Lean in Bank 2. Is this a cause of the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor? I just want to make sure. Im going to order the Fuel Rail Sensor soon. So I just want to make sure. Thanks guys.

datalog your short and long term fuel trims and see what they read. Should be +/- 5 at max. havent paid much attention to your fuel pressure issue, whats up with that?

It could be the cause. But +1 on datalog. Get a datalog with the pressure drop, and the short fuel trims. It might be your frps, since i saw in a previous thread you were getting spikes of up to 65 or some shit. If it settles down fast im sure it is the tune, but if it stays at 65 for a long time you have a problem.

Also the KB fuel pressure disk, prevents high pressure spikes from rupturing the frps. Might want to look into getting one (lethal sells them), to prevent it from happening to a brand new one.

do NOT boost the car if its throwing lean codes. my stock engine blew 15 minutes after having a lean code come on.. it was my fault for not getting the car tuned after a new mass air sensor and headers, it was running very lean.

Good idea man. Ill look into that. Ill see if I can datalog the fuel trims with my dads scan tool.

The fuel pressure issue is wierd. It threw a code saying Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor circuit malfunction. And the idle has been shitty and wants to stall almost every time I come to a stop. Then a few days a go, it stalled it took me like 10 minutes to start back up. And thats when it threw the 2 lean codes. But I cleared them, and hasnt thrown them again.

Jesus christ, that hasnt happened yet obviously lol. It smells rich than anything else, maybe just that once? Idk

Would that cause fuel rail pressure sensor malfunction? I know it could cause shitty idles, but all the time?

You're having these issues after you put in your fuel pressure gauge right? Cause since our setups are almost identical, I'm kinda scared to do mine now lol!

Nah dude, never did a fuel pressure guage. Idk when I did the first start of my car, it ran rich as a mother f*cker cus the bypass valves werent hooked up, so it thought they were open and it was pouring fuel in there.

So Im thinkin maybe from it running so rich then the fuel spiked into the fuel rail pressure sensor or something. Unless it just went bad idk.

Well you know what would help figure out if you are lean or not? A wideband
And it could be frps, or tune if your pressure is wacky.

Check your air intake. Mean throw the bank 1 + 2 lean codes because my intake came apart after the MAF. Put it back together, cleared the codes and it was fine.

If you already have it why would it cost anything? Well i guess the bung welded in, but that is like 20 bucks if that.

yea the bung needs to be welded in. So I gotta wait.

BlackedOut04GT - Yea nothings apart there, thanks though.

mutlyi4 - Thanks, my MAF is fine, because its mainly at idle, it through the code for the fuel rail sensor. My MAF is like brand new and less than 1k miles on it. Plus I cleaned it after like 3-400 miles because I oiled up the filter so I would think some oil would it.
