yes get a new thermostat, but thermostats are 10.00 at any parts store, 20.00 at the dealer for oem Ford. anyone who would pay 50.00 for a thermostat is a retard.

thermostats dont cool anything. they just open up at a pre-set temperature & let coolant flow thru the system. ANY 180* thermostat (which is what the opening temp is on that one) will do the exact same thing.

Some thermostats have a larger opening size and allow more water to flow, that's how they work to help cool the engine more than a stock thermostat.

Ya just go to any auto parts store and get one way cheaper. Don't get any colder the a 180* Tstat though, especially if you daily drive your car.
