Finally a decent time at the track!!!!
After weeks of trouble shooting and trying to figure out why my car was making pitiful power.....I have swapped my clogged catalytic converters out for a Bassani Catted X and it's a completely different car. A 13.1 @ 107 1.799 60ft

Running MT DRs, this was the only run I didn't spin the crap out of it today. I know she's got 12s in her, I just need a little more seat time

Your trap speeds are good for mid-high 12's, for sure. Just need some more seat time and get that launch down.

The track sucks from what everyone says. I was spinning hard for the first three runs in the left lane and even blew the tires off in second when I tried to powershift second gear. I switched to the right lane for my last run and ran my best 60ft yet. I'm gonna stick to the right lane from now on LOL. Come to think of it, I have always done better in that lane. I still need to get it back on the dyno and finish the tune.
But I know the biggest thing is gonna be practice. Hopefully I can get the 60s down in the 1.6xx with some more track time. I want to hit 12s before I start spraying. |

Can't wait to join the 12 sec club. Thanks guys. Here's the time slip....I had to laugh at the 04 cobra in the other lane that ran a 13.0 @ 128 also on MT DRs.

I actually live in Davis. I'll be hitting the track up all season probably on wed night drags since Saturdays are $50 and retarded buckets in the 1,2,3 lanes run one car at a time and break all over the place. Wed nights are $15 and it's not like they prep the track well for Saturdays anyway.

Long story short, I was procharged @ 10psi running about 435 to the wheels. I pulled it off to help pay for a 2.6 KB and in the meantime I will be spraying since it will be a while before another $6,000 goes into this car. But before I start spraying, I want to get my times down in the 12s.
After realizing that it's not going to take nearly as much power as I though to be in the 11s consistently, I am having second thoughts about going back FI. I am floating around the idea of porting these heads and a nice set of N/A cams to get me in the low to mid 300hp range and keep it on the bottle. Maybe even a set of TFS heads. Either way, it's less than half the price of the blower that I want. Last edited by tbirdscwd; April 10th, 2010 at 10:48 PM. |

Runs really strong after I got the cats swapped out. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm making 280rwhp with these cams and stock heads. The guys over at MPH say that's about what I should be pushing with them N/A. I'll find out soon enough. The dyno I use to do my tuning just got moved to their new shop, so they have it back together, but need some re-calibration. Should have dyno #s next week.
BTW there was another 2v there running basically the same times as me and trapping 107-108mph on MT ET Drags with "a few bolt-ons, 3.73s, and a typhoon." Is this guy full of shit? This guy can't be much more than 260rwhp if that's really all he has. |

hey bro ill be seeing you out there at sac raceway all summer, im all about the wed night drags, only 15 bucks, but some nights you only get about 2-3 runs, but then some night you can get up to 8 runs...grudgefest is really fun to go watch the pretty quick cars, pretty quick street cars at that... i dont think you are tuned at vendicated but how do you like the sniper tune??

No, I actually just rent the dyno over at Evil Genius Racing. The guy who own the shop builds custom miatas and hardly even has anyone on the dyno. The guy at the track had a vendicated sticker on his stang....where are they? I have only heard of AED around here
