sc

im thinking 4.10s. and nitrous would kill my motor right? its a dialy driver and i really want to sc it. the 01 cobra has 320hp and 317tq. 0-60 in 4.5 and .25 in 13.5. found a motor and transmission for 3,050 granted 3k isnt worth half a sec but im hoping when all said and done with sc and everything to be in the 12s.

you can be in the 12's with a GT all motor.

suspension and tires are your friend

4:10's are a great gear.

and no nitrous won't kill your motor.

just use it right and you will be fine.

i was thinking suspension and tires too. not enough power to push any kind or slick yet so some drag radials or somethin will do. back wheels and 315s so kinda heavy. thanks for your sugestions tho ill have to do more research on all motor builds on the 2v.

There isn't a lot of power in an n/a 2V. Your best bet is FI. Go with a 100 shot. Gotta be careful with hard launches. The 28 spline axles don't like it.

Well, my car is getting the prototype from Nuatius Performance right now. It's a billet/fabricated manifold for the 2v GT 99-04 for using the factory ford Cobra SC. I donated my car as a prototype with the agreement that the manifolds could be bought seperate from a complete kit at a decent price to end the price gouging and expensive alternatives already available. It's my honest opionion that true "hotrodding" is almost all but gone. Nobody builds their own car any more, every one is forced to bolt on other peoples complete kit... Just my thought.

The new M112 used here is of course a 1.83L S/C. The KB is a 2.1L. As far as power output, with the new single blade throttle and the intake plenum design that is 95% efficient, it gained 150 rwhp. It also uses an 8 rib independent drive system, so boost levels are changed like they are on the Ford Lightning with the crank pulley. Remove 3 bolts, change pulley and re-install.

From a guy selling it on another forum...

One other point of interest that needs to be clarified on the new Gen V M112. The only thing the new Gen V has in common with the older generation M112's (like the one used on the 03-04 Cobra) is the model number. The new case was designed by Magnuson, and it uses a redesigned coated rotor that is produced by Eaton. Even the new Gen V M90 is a brand new design from Magnuson. They are making substantially more HP and torque. I can't wait to see what the new Magnuson TVS series is going to do.

Build the 2v, but change to a cobra crank. Just check to see whick block you have the. Properly done the 2v build won't cost as much, and will give you just as much rwhp.

JMS just completed the testing of the new TTI kit on an automatic 2000 GT the car made 385.2 rwhp at 5892 RPM and 387.86 ft/lbs of torque. This was at 7 lbs of boost with the revision B split inter cooler. The revision A inter cooler tested on the West coast by Fast Specialties, and made the same power but at more boost, so the new design works MUCH more efficiently. At 2500 RPM it made 357 ft/lbs of torque. Temperature was 74 degrees and 34 % humidity. Timing was at 16 degrees and AFR 11.8/1. Inlet temp was 116 degrees on pass one, 121 on pass 2, 128 on pass 3 and 141 on pass 4. The passes were made without shutting the car off between passes. After the car was removed from the dyno, it was driven for about 5 miles and the inlet temp dropped back to 96 degrees. Also to compare the old 03 04 Cobra design to the new Magnuson set up, some new pictures were added here: FAST Specialties, LLC / Vancouver, WA / (360) 213-2781 / (877) 567-FAST - 99-04 Mustang GT Supercharger
If anyone has any questions about the test results please feel free to cal Monty at JMS Chip.
