Depends on who you ask. There are dozens of articles on the net that praise the benefits of the TS over the roots. Most written by KB, for obvious reasons. The "roots technology" has changed drastically over the last few years. With the new case designs, and the new rotor design, the little M112 is laying down some impressive numbers. But it's more than that. It's the new blower inlet design, split dual flow intercooler design etc. Out of the box at 7.5 pounds JMS saw 387 x 387 on a Mustang Dyno. I saw 407 x 390 on a 02 Roush at 9 pounds.
FAST Specialties, LLC / Vancouver, WA / (360) 213-2781 / (877) 567-FAST - Tom's 2002 Roush It literaly had to be de-tuned to keep it safe. No other upgrades.
My buddy in town here is at 425 x 430 at 10-11 ponds. Good rods and pistons, otherwise bone stock. At 12 pounds, with some ported heads and Stage 2 Fox Lake cams, it made 502 x 498.

A complete kit is around $4500.00

Theres a reason that there are so many heatons out there on ebay and such...Not just KB but any of the other twin screws out there...

So for the cost of this kit it is the same as a MPH centri mongoose kit...

Thats actually more then I have in my whole supercharger/intercooler/bullitt intake...

Just to be clear, that's not for just the manifold and peripherals. That is a complete kit with blower, manifold, inter cooler, front mount heat exchanger, coolant pump, coolant reservoir, injectors, 1300 CFM single blade throttle body, CAI, filter, tuner, ACT sensor, 03-04 Cobra throttle cable, throttle cable bracket, PS relocate and alternator relocate bracket, idler assembly, blower belt, new damper and secondary blower pulley (you pick a size depending on your internals) cruise cable extension, hoses, vacuum lines, EGR adapter, clamps, hardware, thermostat housing and a 12 month warranty.

That's off the top of my head, so I may have forgotten something.

End result: mild tune 400 x 400. (BTW...you may want to start saving for a clutch upgrade)

What about a tuner? For that price is a XCAL2 included?

I enjoy my Spec Stage 2+...Very nice clutch...

Just like KB, it includes a SCT 6600 with tune. I also forgot the 90mm MAF and MAF adapter. The guys that want this product usually already own a tuner or chip, so that is subtracted from the cost. The main reason GM, Ford, Mercedes, Jaguar and all the rest go Eatons is because of mileage. Even though a TS has a bypass, it is always compressing, so you lose 10-15% of your regular DD mileage. Ford, GM and the rest are not dummies. That 03 I mentioned...27.5-28 MPG on the highway. He claims better than when it was stock.

BTW...did you notice that Jack Roush picked an Eaton TVS for the GT500's.

The only reason I would chose the Eaton setup over a KB is because it's cheaper, but not by much. I'm just gonna save up for the Kenne Bell regardless

Btw, did you know that the GT500 Super Snake 725 HP edition uses a Kenne Bell?

But it would take alot of work for not much gain, the money you would spend to covert your 2V to a 4V to get that insuffiicient eaton supercharger to fit on your car you could of bought the right superchager to fit your 2V and make more power. And another thing if you are trying to buy a supercharger just buy the one fit for your year car. and on top of that! why the fuck would you want to put cheap ass used parts on your stang anyway?! I mean if you're going to mod your stang don't you want the damn thing to perform?!?! Cheap ass parts = cheap ass performance, and cheap ass people = dumb ass modifiers!! Good call bra!!

I happen to agree. Set your HP goals. Find the product that meets that goal and whether it's a centrifugal, TS, roots, hybrid roots, TVS, turbo or "electric turbonator". Buying used can be expense in the long run.

They use eaton because they can get a good price on it and they have used them for years...I have several friends using whipple's and KB's and kill the gas mileage they got with the eatons...I have a friend right now that had the 1.7 KB on his car and opened the bypass and drove from MS to VA and got well over 25mpg...He was tuned by Tim @ MPH though...

BTW the TVR Blower utilizes eaton’s new Twin Vortices Series technology. The patented design on this supercharger system features a four-lobe rotor and high-flow inlet which greatly enhances thermal efficiency...Not exactly a M112...Seems more like a twin screw to me...

I am just saying because right now I have about $3500 total in my setup...That includes...

MPH Vortech T-Trim
SVT Focus Pump
42# Injectors
90MM Lightning MAF with 3.4 rr pulley (12#'s)
MPH Powerpipe
FMIC (With 3 inch piping all around)
Vortech Minirace Bypass
MPH Tune
XCAL2
Bullitt Upper and Lower Intake
Bullitt TB

But I am guessing the kit you guys sell will find a niche with people who just want 400/400 and dont care to have room to grow...

Not knocking the product but thats damn near KB price territory...

Yep. Again I agree. And I think the niche has been found. However, having said that, the kit is nowhere near KB. If you ad the big air intake, the 42 pound fuel injector upgrade, the 8 rib belt system (which also requires a Cobra hood or cowl hood) the bigger throttle body, and all the little "optional parts", KB will hit 6K. All of that stuff is already included in this kit.
As far as growth goes, how much growth would you like? With the exception of dual pumps to support the HP, all the required parts are there to make well over 500. That has already been proven. At 12 pounds on a 99 it is at 500 rwhp.
For the all out, drag race, crazy, insane HP guys, that wanna make 600-1000, you are right, this ain't it. It's just a nice, economical way of adding about 135-160 HP to your DD.

You will love it. 600 is a whole bunch. I spent 15 years drag racing a 600 horse (N/A) car that I later added a 200 shot to, once I found myself some good diapers. After a couple of years running at that level, it seemed slow again. My best week ever was at Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School in Pomona to qualify for my 7.50 license. Pure adrenalin for 3 days. 7.38 at 185 in a door slammer. Got it in 6 passes. Only one in the class that made it. Fun stuff.

you can put the root style charger on the 3.8 if you swap your intake manifold with the 2002-2005 thunder bird super coupe manifold. They come with the M90 but with some adjustment you can smash the M112 on it.
