03-04 Cobra Eaton Supercharger on your 2V

So everyone can quit asking this question once a month, stop looking at ebay at superchargers from 03 and 04 cobras thinking it will fit on your 2V. I know they are cheap but if they fit wouldn't you think everyone would be buying them and throwing them on. The blowers aren't that good anyways. But it would take alot of work for not much gain, the money you would spend to covert your 2V to a 4V to get that insuffiicient eaton supercharger to fit on your car you could of bought the right superchager to fit your 2V and make more power. And another thing if you are trying to buy a supercharger just buy the one fit for your year car. Don't try to buy a 85 5.0 supercharger and ask if you can fit it on your modular cause you found it so cheap on ebay. JUST BUY AFTERMARKET PARTS MEANT FOR YOUR YEAR MUSTANG PLEASE.

rant over.

Tomzac I believe originally posted this on 3.8mustang.

There are a few members on that v6 board who have done this to 99-04 V6s. It requires a custom fabbed lower intake manifold.

But its true, it requires more work then necessary for small gains.

I have a good idea. Let me spend 8 grand tearing my engine apart to install a cheap S/C I got on ebay, when I could of just went and bought a procharger that fit my car for 5,500.

your blind or dumb cause the m90 of the t-bird doesnt look like the m112

tomzac is running 286rwhp and 300or more torque at 8psi with his m112
to give you an idea a turboed 9psi v6 runs 297rhwp

he got about a 120rwhp gain from the m112 at 8psi

stock the v6 he has makes 160rwhp

This maybe the wrong tread to ask this question in, but I will give it a shot. Tork Tech Inc, an engineering company in Oregon has just completed the designs and testing for a roots style supercharger for the 99-04 4.6L. They are currently seeking 4 volunteer cars that would like to have the S/C installed in the Oregon/SW Washington area. Cost installed for the complete kit, with the SCT X-Cal II, intake, throttle body etc. is $3500.00 including the dyno tune. Based on previous testing of the 4.6L with all stock internals, the rods let go at 436 rwhp and 420 pound/feet of torque. The initial non-inter cooled version will yield roughly 375 to the tire.

If you have an interest or know someone that might, please have them e-mail rfedd@aol.com.

There will be some requirements on reporting back on performance, mileage etc.

i have an 04 gt and lookin to make it faster. i thought about a few different things. put a supercharger on my 2 valve or put a cobra motor in my gt and then an upgraded supercharger. what do you think my best solution is? keep in mind im 18 and bought the car a year ago.
