hey guys, last year i was running 13.6 @ 105 with a 2.2 60', now i have slicks,4:10's,full length sub frames, and my a/c deleted, and i weigh 30 lbs lighter. lol. and i can only pull off a, 13.585 @ 99, with a 1.80 60'. i was shifting at 6100-6400, it feels like my car is a dog in top of 2nd,3rd and 4th. any Opinions would be great.

Congrats. I'd still be happy with that run.
What was your R/T? How did you hook 1st and 2nd gear with the slicks? |

Maybe with your mods you lost some top end and gain bottom end?
After those mods you only gained maybe 10-15rwhp

i've never had clutch problems so i wouldn't know what it really felt like. so i let my friend drive it and he said the clutch was slipping into 3rd, and 4th, his corvette just had a slipping clutch so he would know... and my reverse only wants to go into gear 3/4s of the time.

Well, you lost 6mph so you're definately giving up power somewhere. If the clutch is slipping, that'll do it.

Why in the hell are you reving that high dude. Do you have cams? your car stops making power aroudn 5300...so you have 1000rpms essentialy of making shit for power. There you go.

Your car is dogging out at the top of each gear cause you don't make any power revving up that high on the stock cams. Shift around 5500-5800 and you will be in the low 13s with that same 60ft.

the 4.10's and slicks helped tremendously with your 60' #'s. and you're revving too high. perhaps it was hotter today than your best runs last year too.

Dead effing serious. I would say shift around 5800 for the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift and shift at 5500 into 4th. Your power drops like a rock right around 5500

I shift around 5700 and I ran a 14.0 with shitty street tires spinning most of 1st, cai, tb/plenum, x pipe and catback.
I can only assume that the temperatures were higher than last time and that you're over revving. A clutch is unlikely but still a possibility. |

I thought it was at 6100. Either way I think that's too high for a stock engine to rev too.
