Best way to pull engine?

This question is for you guys that have pulled motors a bunch. I have pulled them a couple of times... a couple of times it was done on a lift so it was a lot easier. This time it will be done in my shop on the floor.... The last time i did it i pulled the motor out by itself from the top with a cherry picker... I had to jack the car up that way the headers wouldnt hit the ground a bottom out because i had to come out at crazy angle seeing as how i have a stock k member. im wondering if it will be easier to pull the motor and trans together. I know that it was a tad bit of a pain to get the headers to fit around the transmission when i went back in with it and this would eliminate that problem... any opinions would be appreciated.

pull the motor alone, but raise it up two inches while its still in the car and remove the headers, then continue pulling the motor out of the car.

I know for a fact that it is easier to deal with putting the motor back in with the headers on the motor rather than trying to take the headers loose from the heads while it is in the car. My main question is, is it easier to pull motor and trans together or just the motor with the headers on.

I prefer to ppull the motor with the headers and without the trans. Yes it's a very crazy angle, but it's still easier for me..
