i love this thread... I'm in the same boat wanting to drop my car lower than the FRRP C Springs do that I currently have (came on the car). I keep debating between full coilovers, just front coilovers with springs in the rear, or Eibach Sportlines/H&R all the way around. Hmmmm choices....

coilovers. You will never need to change them again to get a "new" stance. Just change the height adjustments.

but it's still the cost vs value debate.. coilovers are the answer yes, but how often will I change them? I get the stance I want, and don't touch them. However if I go with a less expensive route, I have extra cash for go-fast parts. I could get the stance I want and have some extra stuff. I'm really digging the staggard 17"/18" wheel set up on some nice springs...

haveing a car that cand handle corners at speed will actually make a car faster then a car with more hp that cant turn.

Yep. But like anything else you need supporting extras.

Strut bars, sway bars, subframes, etx.

Though I think subframes is the biggest and cheapest mod to prevent twisting of the chasis.

Bilsten actually makes a coil over with an electronic button with a stance change from 'sport to street' or something like that.. I know if I could get coil overs that I can adjust on the fly like airbags I'd do it.. I'd love to slamm it for a show the be able to put it to a good ht. for AX or track.. but we're not there with technology yet.. at least not to my knowledge or bank acount..

I need to jack my car up to get a jack under it lol.

FYI....in case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you they aren't.. 17's up front, 18's out back .

Lol. i have the same problem, i cant even get a jack under the front. i have to have 2 people life up on the wheel wells to raise the front suspension while i quickly slip the jack under. and for the rear, you can go under the liscense plate, you have to go in on an angle, right behind the rear tire and in front of the gas tank.. so between those too.. lol its bad man. a shop is gonna be like WTF?!?

I want coil overs now pretty bad. If I did the entire kit from UPR, how much would it run me? Cuz I know they have the kit for 4-something, but then I need CC plates and shocks/struts, right? How low can they actually go, those UPR ones. And how is the quality on them? If anyone has experience with them, please post thoughts, comments, and pics.

I just ordered my kit from UPR yesterday. I will have them installed the same day I get them and will post pics of them slammed. I probably won't run them that low LOL, but it will be nice to just set it up the way I like it instead of hoping a new set of springs will do the trick. The front and rear coil-over kit is 449, cc plates are 149, front and rear shocks 318. I needed new shocks a while ago, so I didn't get hit all at once. I also got a little money for my birthday yesterday

Damn. If I could sell my fixed gear, I would have a large chunk of that, and then a set of irons....and I am in business!! So roughly $1,000 for the perfect suspension setup...man, I am ready to start saving.

Front coil-overs with k-member and a-arms is $699.
Rear coil-overs are $269

This is of course without shocks. Also for the front end you need CC-plates and a bump steer kit is recommended.

Yeah, I'll be waiting to do the k-member for a while. At least I'll have the coil-overs so I can slam the thing and gte good weight transfer at the track. Weight reduction will have to wait for later

My front doesn't look as low because of the 255/35s.. but it handles like a champ
