How to tune a custom o/r x pipe?

Im running off road x pipe (custom) on my '00 GT. Do I really need to tune it? And how can i tune it using the SCT tuner?!

from what ive read you dont really need to "tune it" for just simple bolt ons.. just need to turn off the rear o2's more so..

Do you have an SCT programmer, or?

^ no need to tune... but a tuner will help to turn off the rear o2's if you wanted to do that i did but only because my stang threw a code and it was due to one of the rear sensors so i turned them off

Like these guys said, no need for a tune with just an x pipe. When you were closer to full bolt-ons a tune might do you some good, up until then it's just a good way to piss money away

A good tune will improve performance over stock no matter how many "bolt ons" you have, but is not required until more aggressive mods are made....like cams. The more mods you have the bigger of a difference tuning will make.
