My diff.
My diff makes some weird mechanical noise when i drive. I can hear it on the freeway/highway, and when i make a right turn i hear some other weird sound, i don't know if it could be my tires rubbing the fenderwell or whatnot, but it only happens during right turns. However i want to know!!!
I got this diff recently, guy who put it in said it was rebuilt. I don't doubt him, he's a pretty skilled guy and very trustable.

I suspect a bad wheel bearing, or wasted carrier/spider gears. It could be new clutches breaking in, how much friction modifier did you put in it. I personally use 2 for OEM traction locks.

Not sure. A shop did it for me. He replaced mine because my spider gears were shot. I've had it for a while now, i'd say 6 months more or less. I'm gonna ask him too.

um i would say the backlash is off, when your turning right the carrier is moving over and hitting the pinion at a weird angle, mine did that becasue one of the carrier bearings must not have seeded all the way down and when i drove it it finally did then when i turned right it made a grinding noise pulled off the diff and rechecked everything and the back lash was off significantly, added some shims and got it within tolerance and stopped making noise right away after reshiming it.

ya hopefully nothing happend to the ring gear or the pinion,,, mine took a couple chips out of pinion ( wasnt to happy about it ) people said it would be fine since they were very small on the tip been running it for a year after that happend and not one problem ... but i just got moser 31 spine and a detroit tru trac and im debating throwing in new gears when i install them since ill be launching on slicks and dont want a piece to break on the already chipped pinion and screw up the tru trac
