Maunal Trans Fluid? (3650)

just got my 3650 rebuilt. which fluid do you all une reccomend? i heard synchromesh, or the royal purple synchromesh.

I just use whatever ford recommends, I think it's Mercon V for the 3650 and Dextron III for the T56

royal purple synchromesh = NO I have tries it in a 3550 and a 3650. That stuff is to slick and the syncos will not line up very well and will grind when thifting.

tremec recommends syncomesh. I just threw some in the other week and I noticed much better difference over mercon v..........

ok yeah i changed the oil when i started to notice 3rd synchro goin out. and put synchromesh in it. so Im thinkin im gonna do the same again. I just want otheres opinions.

3.0 liters or in our case 3.2 quarts of GM syncromesh thats what tremec engineers recomends you use.....you can use pennzoil syncromesh it meets the exact same requirement as the GM it even states it on the bottle and its half the price and it works i know because i have it in mine and just did the switch a little over a month ago and it shifts nice and smooth....dont use Royal Purple syncromesh it will ruin the syncros that what tremece engineers have said..... also the Pennzoil syncromesh is way better than fords factory fluid you will notice the difference in about a week at least i did some say they feel it right away
