ac question

So I pulled the 03gt outta storage and have found the ac doesn't work. I went to recharge the system and found the compressors not kickin on. I know my 02 f150 had a safty shutoff switch if the freon (sp) was low. Here's my question. I've got a servicing port by the radiator one by the pass side fire wall both have black caps on them. I believe the one by the firewall is the low press fitting. There is another fitting right by it with a blueish green cap on it. Not sure what that is? Any thoughts. And do u need to set a jumper to the compressor to get it to move some freon to get it to charge. I had a bottle set up on what I believe is the low press side car running ac on full bast and it never kicked the compressor on and was runnin for about 15 min?

First, get some ac dials (gauges) check were your pressures is at. The system you have is 134a so make sure the dial are 134a. Second, make sure you have pressure on the low side (blue fitting) high pressure will also show but don't worry yet. Third, test the connector wire that supplies 12v. to the coil on of ac compressor. If this wire has 12v the coil on the compressor is bad. Hope this helps to getting you in the right direction.

" blueish green cap" has nothing to do with the ac, pretty sure what your talking about is for you EVAP system.

Get some gauges on the system and tell us what your low and high side pressures are.
