speedometer calibration?

Well before i bought my car it had 373 gears put in it but the speedometer was never calibrated. So i called this dyno place Illinois Dyno Center in port byron, IL and they want $125 just to get it calibrated. That seems way to high to me. Any opinions on this? Also do any of you guys know where else i could go. Im located in the Quad Cities, IL

get a tuner and do it yourself, its one of the options, its a bit more but you get alot more in the end then just a calibrated speedo.

Speedcal, it's cheaper and they are reliable and fully adjustable for tire sizes also.

a tuner allows you to do all kinds of things. Advance timing and run a 93 octane fuel, diasble rear o2 sensors for an offroad pipe, adjust idle revs, pull CEL codes, ect.

That just doesn't seem worth $350 to me. I mean I don't know every single thing about my mustang so I don't know how much I could actually do with just the electronic system.

It's not so much about the tuner being an "improvement" as it is a necessary add on for other mods. I mean if you wanna spend the $125 on the shop to do it (which I'm not sure how they are gonna do that without the tuner) and get nothing else out of it then by all means. The other option is to not have it calibrated. It will just wrack up the miles faster than it should.
